Style Your Summer Shorts With Confidence

Style Your Summer Shorts With Confidence

Wearing shorts have always been a hard thing for me to do. When you have large hips and thighs like mine the easiest thing to do is hide them. However, I’m starting to learn and challenge myself to be a bit more brave about wearing shorts. It really is about how I style them and buy them to fit my shape and my comfort level. I have to say that Lane Bryant, has been my saving grace when it comes to shorts. They have always offered shorts with a great fit and been the best length for me. I tend to go for Bermuda shorts because I feel like they compliment by thighs well and keeps me comfortable much more than short-shorts would.  I try not to let my fear of shorts keep me from trying different styles like cut off’s too. The big picture is that I think once you style your shorts they way you like you worry less about your insecurities and feel beautiful.

Leave the basic V-neck tees and go for a stylish top.

I chose a white top showing off my shoulders.

Add your favorite wedges or a pair of heels for height and to elongate your legs.

Being short its always nice to get some height when I wear flats most of the time.

Throw a fun print into your outfit to draw attention upward.

I went for this tribal print blouse and added a layered gold necklace
